Insignia Photo Frame Video Requirements and Limitations - SOLVED

i alexSF,

I did some research myself and found that the following codecs worked for me:

MOV format

  • Video codec MPEG4 at 720 x 480 - Audio codec MP3 at 128 K.

AVI format

  • Video codec MPEG1 at 720 x480 - Audio codec MP3 at 128 K.

  • Video codec MPEG2 at 720 x480 - Audio codec MP3 at 128 K.

  • Video codec MPEG4 at 720 x480 - Audio codec MP3 at 128 K.

MP4 format

  • Video codec MPEG4 at 720 x480 - Audio codec MP3 at 128 K.

1- There no "Mute" function but you can go turn up or down the volume using the "Vol+" and "Vol-" buttons on the remote.

2- Not with the Picture Frame itself. My recommendation would be to use a software like Windows Movie Make to create a new video based on JPEG files and then merge both with any video editor software.

The maximum size of movies the Picture Frame will support is 720 x 480 so if you are going to do all the mentioned in my answer to your question number 2, please remember that when setting the specifications of the final output video.

I hope my answers are what you were looking for and count with me if there is anything else you need.

Thanks for trusting in our brand!

Regards,

Nicolas
